The benefits of spelt flour.
A healthier alternative.
Spelt is an ancient grain that is related to common wheat but has some key differences. The flavour of wholemeal spelt flour is mild and nutty without the bitterness that can be common in whole wheat flour. Whilst spelt still contains gluten it is more easily digestible and can be a better alternative for people with mild sensitivity to wheat flour, it is still unsuitable for coeliacs and those who have severe intolerance to wheat.
Filled with the things you need.
Using the wholegrain produces a much higher fibre flour with a stronger flavour and coarser texture.
Wholegrain spelt is a great source of protein, fibre and various vitamins and minerals. It is an especially good source of manganese, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, iron and some B vitamins.
